Immigration Program
Project Introduction
Beginning on January 1, 2022, the Atlantic Immigration Program has officially become a permanent program, renamed AIP (Atlantic Immigration Program). The Atlantic provinces are Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island. The Atlantic Four Provinces Immigration Program is a skilled immigration program with lower language requirements in Canada, which can help more applicants who are not currently eligible to apply for EE or traditional skilled immigration to quickly apply for immigration.
For skilled workers and international graduates in different occupational categories, the program is divided into three categories:
· Atlantic International Graduate Program Atlantic International Graduate Program (AIGP)
· Atlantic High-Skilled Program Atlantic Advanced Skilled Program (AHSP)
· Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program (AISP)

· Those who have intermediate and senior technical work experience and are willing to work and live in the four marine provinces; or
· International students who graduated from public institutions in the four marine provinces and are willing to work and live in the four marine provinces.
Application conditions
1. Have an endorsement letter from an Atlantic province
2. Language Requirements:
· Valid CLB English or French scores within two years
3. Academic requirements:
· AIGP (Atlantic International Graduate Program)
1. Completed at least two years of full-time post-secondary education at a public university in any of the four Atlantic provinces and earned a degree, diploma, certificate, or trade apprenticeship.
2. Lived in one of the four Atlantic provinces for at least 16 of the 24 months prior to graduation
3. Hold a valid visa for the period of study and residence.
4. Distance courses for more than half of the study period are not eligible.
5. Those who are funded by scholarships or fellowships from other countries, and it is stipulated that the recipients need to return to their home countries after completing their studies, do not meet the requirements.
6. The PR application must be submitted within 24 months of the graduation certificate.
· AHSP (Atlantic High-Skilled Program) and AISP (Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program)
7. Canadian high school education or higher, or
8. Overseas equivalent. Overseas education requires ECA certification. The ECA must be valid for 5 years.
4. work experience:
· No work experience requirement for AIGP applicants
· AHSP and AISP need to meet the following work experience requirements:
1. At least 1 year (1560 hours or 30 hours/week) in the past 5 years, non-continuous, full-time or equivalent part-time, overseas or domestic work experience.
2. Paid work (volunteers or unpaid internships do not count)
3. Occupational skill level
· AHSP requirements are NOC 0, A, B
· AISP requirement is NOC C
· The AISP category may also include the following partial NOCBs: Registered Nurses (NOC 3012), Registered Psychiatric Nurses (NOC 3012), Vocational Nurses (NOC 3233)
· Job offers are required for the following occupations: Nursing Assistant (NOC 3413), Nursing Assistant (NOC 3413), Patient Service Assistant (NOC 3413), Home Support Worker (NOC 4412)
5. Demonstrate sufficient funds to live in
6. Employer job offer:
AIGP
· The job offer is from a designated employer in the four Atlantic provinces
· Full-time, non-seasonal job offer for more than one year
· Vocational skill levels are NOC 0, A, B, C
· The job needs to be supported by a letter of endorsement from the Atlantic Province showing that the job offer is genuine and that a needs assessment has been completed to develop a placement plan for the applicant and each family member.
AHSP
· The job offer is from a designated employer in the four Atlantic provinces
· Full-time, non-seasonal job offer for more than one year
· Vocational skill level NOC 0, A, B
· The job needs to be supported by a letter of endorsement from the Atlantic Province showing that the job offer is genuine and that a needs assessment has been completed to develop a placement plan for the applicant and each family member.
AISP
· The job offer is from a designated employer in the four Atlantic provinces
· Indefinite, full-time, non-seasonal job offers
· Vocational skill levels are NOC 0, A, B, C
· The job needs to be supported by a letter of endorsement from the Atlantic Province showing that the job offer is genuine and that a needs assessment has been completed and a placement plan has been developed for the applicant and each family member
application process
1. Employers apply to become designated employers of the AIP program.
· Obtain a Confirmation of Designation from the Designated Employer.
· Participate in induction training and cross-cultural competency training.
2. Applicants are matched to suitable employer positions.
3. Sign the employer offer, and the employer assists in completing the settlement plan.
4. Submit an endorsement application.
· If the applicant needs to apply for a work permit, the employer must request a letter of recommendation from the provincial government at this stage
5. Obtain endorsement letter and work permit support letter
· Once approved, the applicant will receive a letter of endorsement and a letter of support for the work permit.
· Applicants can apply to the Commonwealth for a work visa with a work permit support letter if needed.
· The applicant submits the PR application within 90 days of submitting the work permit application.
6. Apply for Permanent Resident
· The Federal Office of Immigration will review the completeness and eligibility of the documents submitted by the applicant.
· After passing the review, the Federal Immigration Service will conduct a criminal record investigation of the applicant and their family members, and issue a medical examination notice. After the back adjustment and physical examination are completed, it is determined that the immigration application is successful, and the applicant will be required to send the passport and visa center for a sticker.
7. PR approved
